2015-16 Brochure, and Product Guide:
As many of you know we have a new brochure and product guide out. Please let us know if you haven’t received either and we’ll send them your way. The product guide is e-mail only for now, however it does contain the most up to date product information available.
Nano-Peptide B5 Complex is now the Hydration Serum w/ Peptides:
This transition has been a long time in the making, and as with any best-selling product, we hate to make any significant changes so we decided to keep the formula very much the same, though we did increase the Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) from 30 to 33% just to give an extra level of hydration that we so often hear is a need for our customers. The name change was necessary as the FDA has warned against using the term “Nano” and the use of nano-technology in skin care is still an unresolved issue, so over the years we’ve switched to slightly larger “micron” molecules, which still provides a very fine application, and avoids the controversy.
A&M Eye Recovery Therapy:
The A&M Eye also received a formula update, now featureing the Uplevity peptide, another new ingredient for increasing collagen, functional elasticin synthesis, and cellular support, giving better structure to the dermis. An easy way to tell if you have the new product is that the product color is a brighter yellow, while the former was more of a darker peach.
We are excited about the New Year, and the changes it brings, however it does come with some significant challenges for us. Over the last several years, the FDA has been more aggressive with mandated stability and other testing of OTC (Over-the-counter) products, significantly raising our per batch costs on our Solar Protection, and Acne Control products. Once we acclimated to these increased costs, we had been hoping the same (extra, and expensive) testing mandates would not extend in to Cosmetic products, which would effectively cover our full retail line. However, just within the last month or two, we received word that yes indeed, our full retail line of products will be subject to mandated stability and other additional testing. The idea is that this will benefit U.S. and worldwide consumers at large, however LPAR customers will continue to receive the same quality products they always have enjoyed, while we are forced to raise pricing and consider discontinuing some of our retail products that do not sell at high volumes.
The new, 2016 pricing will be announced just before the start of the New Year and go in to effect February 1st, so we encourage you to take advantage of current pricing throughout December and January.
